About John Russell Davis

Upon relocating to the Rio Grande Valley in 2012, John Russell Davis founded the Law Office of John Russell Davis, P.C.  Since founding his Texas practice John has focused approximately half of his efforts on representation of clients in state and federal criminal proceedings.  He has devoted the rest of his practice to a wide range of civil matters including personal injury, real estate transactions, construction law, products liability, employment law, insurance law, housing and property litigation, litigation of commercial disputes, and election disputes.  John also regularly pursues criminal related matters including obtaining expunctions and orders of non-disclosure.  

Prior to and during his studies at Temple Law, John was employed by the AHP Settlement Trust, the court appointed administrator of the six hundred thousand class member, six billion dollar nationwide settlement of the In Re: Diet Drugs Products Liability Litigation (MDL 1203).  Leveraging this experience upon graduation, John became the Director of Claims Administration for RG/2 Claims Administration LLC, an industry leading class action settlement administration firm.  As Director he oversaw all aspects of a class action claims administration operation from pre-settlement consulting to disbursement of settlement funds. During his tenure, John directed the successful administration of over 50 employment, tort, consumer protection, securities and anti-trust settlements with 35 to 450,000 class members each and settlement values ranging from $365,000 to $38,000,000.

John was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland obtaining a bachelor’s degree with majors in both economics and political science in 2001.  John earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2007.  At graduation, John was the recipient of the Harry R. Kozart Memorial Prize, awarded to the graduate who has attained the highest grades in products liability courses.
